DESIGN+BUILD
PROCESS

1

Free Consultation at your Home:

This is where we get to know each other.  At this meeting, we will learn about you and your home, and further evaluate your needs and wants.  We will discuss the scope of work, consider possible design solutions, determine a realistic budget, projected project time frame, and discuss processes, agreements, and fees.

Construction Contract:

Once we solidify the details of the construction funds, specify payment schedule, and receive a signed contract, we can then set the construction timeline and begin your renovation!

Sign Conceptual Design Agreement:

Once the agreement is signed, our team will work with you to create a conceptual design.  During this phase, we will complete as-built drawings to document the existing conditions, discuss loan/project financing options, research the zoning and necessary code requirements, discuss selection finishes desired, and process a preliminary budget proposal.  The time frame and number of meetings for this phase will vary depending on the project’s scope.

Design Development & Intent to Build Agreement:

Once the conceptual design phase is complete, a bid set of drawings is prepared in order to develop an accurate budget based on the finalized scope of work. The final pricing is reviewed and determined to be complete, unless any modifications are made.  The drawings are completed as needed for necessary permits to be obtained and for the actual construction of the project. We will finalize the construction plans based on the proposed budget and make sure all items are agreed upon before preparing to sign the construction contract.

Construction:

Once the contract is signed, we can acquire all necessary permits and commence construction.  You will have access to our online project management software to follow daily progress throughout each phase.  This will include: photos that are uploaded daily, approval of all selection items, updated renovation calendar, and messaging in order to quickly and easily communicate any questions that you might have during the renovation.  Berry will assign a project manager to oversee the day-to-day construction and discuss any potential issues that may arise.
